Marc Strongman

Marc is CEO of The Strongman Group. Marc is a former Vice President of Tonecraft Corporation and served as President of West Can Building Corporation. He learned the business both as Property Manager for VanEd Holdings Ltd. and prior to that as a Real Estate Analyst for Tonecraft Corporation both in Toronto and Vancouver.

Marc is an active fundraiser for several political and community enterprises, including Lions Gate Hospital, the North Shore Spirit Trail which he started, The BC Liberal Party and Shawinigan Lake School. He has managed several successful political campaigns and sits on both non-profit and corporate boards.

Nick Argue, CPA, CA

Nick Argue, CPA, CA, is President of Strongman Group. Nick provides strategic direction, leadership and creates enterprise value for the Strongman Group and the various real estate investment companies under management. As President, Nick is responsible for the Company’s operations and ensuring that the daily operations support its long-term objectives. Nick plans and directs all aspects of the Company’s real estate activities, including acquisitions and overseeing property management, asset management and financial operations. Nick was previously Strongman Group’s Chief Financial Officer for several years. Nick has a wide breadth of skills developed over many years of advising global organizations and real estate companies. Prior to joining the Strongman Group in 2016, Nick was Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP (“EY”) in Vancouver and spent 14 years as a business advisor to clients primarily in the real estate industry. Nick also worked for EY’s London, UK and Auckland, New Zealand offices. Nick is a Chartered Professional Accountant, earned his B.Comm. from Queen’s University and also attended Uppsala University in Sweden. Nick is active in the community as a volunteer director with a charity and also coaches ice hockey and soccer.

Brendan Morrison

Brendan Morrison is a retired NHL hockey player who played 15 years professionally. He was drafted in 1993 in the 2nd round by the New Jersey Devils but is best remembered for the 8 season he played for his hometown Vancouver Canucks. Brendan represented Canada 3 times at the World Championships winning gold in 2004. Prior to the NHL, Brendan played at the University of Michigan where he was a 3 time NCAA All American, a National Champion and winner of the Hobey Baker award as the best player in college hockey in 1997. Brendan graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics.

Brendan has been an associate with The Strongman Group since 2010 and looks forward to many more years of a successful relationship.

Mike Lightbody B.Arch., B.Sc.

Mike Joined The Strongman group in 2021 with over 30 years experience in the fields of design and construction.

Prior to joining the company, Mike ran his own custom home company for 25 years.

After a degree in biology at the University of Victoria, Mike attended The University of B.C. faculty of Architecture.

Upon completion at U.B.C. Mike went to straight to work at Merrick Architecture where he spent the next 7 years on projects such as the “Electra” (conversion of former BC Hydro building to condos), Skytrain planning and station development, numerous multi family projects with various rezoning’s and urban planning initiatives

Rachel Tyson

Rachel Tyson serves as Executive Assistant at The Strongman Group, where she turns moving parts into momentum. With a career built through hands on experience across various roles and industries, Rachel brings the uncommon mix of judgment, organization, and people sense that executive teams rely on. Being adaptable is what she does best, and she is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she is able. She continues to build her skills through on the job learning, always looking for practical ways to improve processes and support the organization’s growth.

Vanessa Lee, CPA, CA

Vanessa, CPA, CA is the Controller of the Strongman Group and is responsible for the accounting and financial operations of the company. With over 10 years of experience in both the real estate investment and development industry, Vanessa has gained considerable knowledge in areas of financial reporting, management planning and analysis and financing activities. Prior to joining the Strongman Group, Vanessa was a Manager at the Ernst & Young Vancouver and Toronto office and served clients in the real estate and hospitality industry. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia with a specialization in Accounting.

Lana Xiao

Lana Xiao is the Property Accountant for the Strongman Group. Lana joined the Strongman Group with over 7 years accounting experience in Property Management and Real Estate Industry. To stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, Lana is committed to continuous professional development. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University.

Nicole Soloveoff

Nicole Soloveoff is the Senior Leasing Manager for the Strongman Group. Nicole began her career in 2009 at a global commercial real estate brokerage where she completed her Real Estate Trading Services Licensing Course through the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Since then, Nicole has worked for various landlords and developers across Western Canada to develop and execute complex and multi-faceted leasing strategies.

Wesley Lamb

Wesley  has been a Property Manager for the owner operated commercial properties at The Strongman Group for the past 7 years. Wesley completed the pre-licensing course through the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and prior to joining The Strongman Group, Wesley owned and operated a successful medium sized business for over 9 years and worked for 8 years in the IT Industry.

Mandana Yousefi

Mandana Yousefi is a dedicated Property Manager at The Strongman Group, where she oversees a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across Alberta, Ontario, and British Columbia. With over 10 years of experience in property management, Mandana brings a great level of expertise in handling a wide range of assets and tenant needs.
Her role encompasses managing tenant relations, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all buildings under her care.

Joan Rapisura

Joan has been with the Strongman Group since 2012, currently in the role of Accountant/Accounts Payable. She is responsible for Accounts Payables for The Strongman Group and other companies under management in addition to her other property accounting duties. She graduated Bachelor of Science in Commerce – Banking and Finance from St. Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines.

Alix Zhang

Alix Zhang is Property Accountant/Accounts Receivable for the Strongman Group. She recently joined our company with her 5 years of accounting skills in real estate companies, including Wesgroup Properties and FirstService Residential. Alix obtained her Master’s Degree in accounting and financial management at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK.

Vlad Bondarenko

I was born in Odessa Ukraine where I received my deep sea captain certificate in 2015.
My marine experience started in 1978 when I was participating in the Naval college in St.Petersburg Soviet Union and in 1983 I graduated with degree as an engineer / navigator on nuclear submarines. I served in the Northern fleet near Norway and after 10 years on board the attack nuclear submarine, class -Victory, I changed my career from junior navigator to first Captains mate with the rank of Major. My knowledge and experience on submarines allowed me to provide training of cadets in the marine academy in Odessa, majoring in technical means of submarine navigation.After a year of teaching signed up as a second mate for commercial ships such as cruise ships, Ro-Ro class & private yachts. In 2013 I became a chief officer where I worked on various cargo ships & Research vessels.
Currently I work with The Strongman Group as a maintenance supervisor & provide chauffeuring services.
